The government’s disregard for local businesses through this period has been as enlightening as it is shocking. Smaller local businesses are the life blood of a strong community, and those have been largely ignored as big business has profited.

There’s a place for big business, but as the marvellous words of Ernst Schumacher ‘Small is beautiful’, and now more than ever it’s critical to shop and support local. It’s not only good for our health, but for the wealth of our communities.

Here are a few ‘Places we Love’. Please do feel free to contact us and send us your suggestions for this page. We especially recommend Edinburgh Farmer’s Market – every Saturday on Castle Terrace. In shopping there we support local shops AND local producers. Awarded as Scotland’s best Farmer’s Market for 2020, we’re blessed to have such a place in our city.
